The Ur-Quan Masters for Symbian S60 3rd edition

There is now experimental support for S60 3rd edition in Subversion repository of the Ur-Quan Masters. This page serves the purpose of providing a SIS package for the S60 port until next official release of UQM.

Notes

The port depends on SDL and Open C libraries. Their installation packages are embedded inside the UQM package for convenience.

Development of the port is being done on Nokia N73, which has too little memory for longer playing sessions. Since UQM is rather memory hungry, probably at least 30M of free RAM is required to achieve stability.

Known problems

• No netmelee.
• Loading times are still quite long for some parts like entering planetary orbit.

Addons

Create folder 'uqm-addons' in the root directory of your memory card and put the packages there. Note that since internal directory structure has changed from the latest stable UQM release, you cannot use packages downloaded from the official sourceforge homepage.
